My husband and his brothers own a piece of woodland (part of their late parents' farm).
Because the wood is for free, burning wood in the stove means substantial energy/cost savings during autumn and winter.
So this is what we are doing, stacking up the fire wood.
My husband was glad to have some help.
Seeing the wood piles and thinking about all the warmth they will give us this winter, makes me happy.
