Vintage Christmas Monday Blog Party

Today is Vintage Christmas Monday Blog Party time over at "Anything goes here".
I like to decorate in natural colours, so you won't find a lot of green and red Christmas decorations in my home.

A little angel on the chest of drawers where I keep a part of my crafting stuff.

This old candle stick used to be an ashtray. With a little paint and some old lace it is the perfect Christmas decoration for me.

And this is not really a decoration, it was my mother-in-law's cookbook (she passed away 2 years ago). The first part is written in a different handwriting, I think it is her mother-in-law's, because she lived in her husband's family after marrying. It is full of Christmas inspiration!

Till next Monday.

  4. How lucky you are to have the cookbook...what a treasure to keep! I have a family line of ancestors that came to the United States around 1860 and they were from Luxemburg...the family last name was Heyrend.

  5. So sweet for you to include the cookbook. I remember my mom pouring over her cookbooks for weeks before the holiday deciding what she was going to make special that year! Thanks for being a part of Vintage Christmas Monday! xo Joan
