This weekend I started to read "Calling me home" by Julie Kibler and I just couldn't put it down.
It is a sad story about the forbidden love
between a white girl and the black son
of her family's housekeeper just before
world war II. Being the mother of two
black children, the story touched my soul.
I highly recommend this book
(and I think the English title is so much
more appropriate than the German translation).
