This year's garden and boys' rooms make-over

There was a lot of work to be done both
outside and inside the house.

We decided to keep the garden simple this summer. We bought some new strawberry plants, two or three rhubarb plants and some courgettes. We have a lot of red berries, lots of apples on our two trees and that's enough for this year. We didn't want to spend too much money because we have big plans for 2015 and I like the idea of not feeling overwhelmed by our garden this year. We can't do it all, and that's perfectly okay in this phase of our lives.

We have also been doing a lot of work inside the house.
My husband is painting all the kids' rooms.
The boys' rooms were painted in red/white and
blue/grey years ago (when they were still in high
 school) and there were basketball
posters on every wall.

We thought it was time to give their rooms
a little make-over, now that they are young adults.
We painted the walls in a very light grey.
It looks clean and fresh and they love it.

This is son number one's bedroom.
We are still looking for a dark grey carpet.
We hope to finish son number two's room during the weekend. I'll show you when all the work is done!
