This is one of the things I would try to save when there would be a fire in my house. It has probably no value at all, it is nothing but a piece of cardboard, but I am very attached to it. It is a study (in drawing chalk) my great-grandfather made of his son, my grandfather, when he was a young man. My grandfather, Karel Visser, was a violonist and a pianist. We found this drawing at my aunt's house somewhere in a corner of the basement. It was damaged, but with a nice new frame I think it is perfect.
By the way, my grandfather died at the age of 99!
